On December 9, 2009, Gallery Project will present Spring Collection 2010, a fashion exhibit showcasing artists as designers and social commentators.  The annual fundraising exhibit opens on the 9th at 12pm and runs through 4pm on January 11, 2010.  The opening reception is December 11, 2009 from 6pm-9pm. 

The 20 featured artists created their own line or individual pieces specifically for the exhibit; these pieces will be modeled on the catwalk during the opening reception.  Through their work, the artists explore various influences and fashion contexts such as fads and trends, materialism and consumption, as well as high low fashion.  The exhibit is designed to be a fun, interactive event.  The Catwalk Show is set to begin at 7pm at the opening reception.  Visitors will be able to purchase photo passes in order to photograph themselves as they model pieces and participate in the interactive work.
