Faberge: The Rise and Fall at the DIA - October 14, 2012

Ever since I was a child, I had always been fascinated by Faberge Eggs; there was something about the artistry, equisite craftsmanship and jewels that I found fascinating. So when I heard last year the Detroit Institute of Arts would be showing a special Faberge exhibit I was beyond excited.
Faberge: The Rise and Fall, which opens to the public October 14, 2012, will display 250 pieces from the House of Faberge, created by artist and jeweler Karl Faberge. The pieces, from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, are sure to be nothing short of spectacular. The exhibit will include six (6) of the Faberge Easter Eggs, which the House of Faberge was best known for.
Faberge: The Rise and Fall runs through January 21, 2013, so make sure to go see it. For more information click here.
