Get To Know: Ettiket

Ettiket, a jewelry line launched in January 2011 by native Detroiter, Kristina Taylor, seeks to incorporate the designer’s own eclectic, sophisticated style and the vibrant spirit of New York City in each piece.
Taylor, a graduate of Wayne State University (Cum Laude) and the Fashion Institute of Technology, honed her fashion chops while interning for some of the most respected designers and brands in fashion – Anna Sui, J. Crew and Ralph Lauren. It was her experience at Ralph Lauren, helping to develop the brand’s American Living Collection that truly catapulted her design career.

Taylor’s motivation to launch Ettiket was due in part to the frequent attention and acclaim she received for her own eccentric personal style and design efforts.

Taylor gathers inspiration by scouring New York City, blogs and magazines before heading to the city’s bead district to play with various mediums. According to Taylor, she doesn’t have an exact idea of what she’ll design until she’s in her studio, where the “magic” happens. Find out more about Ettiket at www.ettiket.com.
